TALISMAN SERIES “WATCHER OF THE NORTH - REGULUS”

Regulus, a bright fire, igniting strength, courage, strengthener of fame.

Grant us with your Divine power of insight,

This is an invocation of the energy of Regulus that came to me while working with the energy of the star and writing the texts for the creation of the talismanic materia.

 

 

What is materia itself?

Brief presentation

 

 

Regulus is one of the very bright and important royal fixed stars in the sky and in astrology. It is the guardian of the North (the other three are Aldebaran, Antares and Fomalhaut).

Its position in the sky has served not only for orientation and navigation, but also for worship and rituals.

The four geographical directions/four winds are key elements of every, but especially strongly of the Babylonian and Persian folklore tradition. From from the principles of correspondences in both great cultures we draw the connection between each of the Royal Stars (and not only) to their earthly analogue materials and immaterial incarnations - plants, minerals, colors, foods, behavior, character traits, etc.

And the nature of Regulus is like that of Mars and Jupiter - titanically explosively triumphant. What on earth does this nature symbolize?

The levels of expansion, visibility and popularity, power, energy and royal charm are very strong with this star, especially whe in "competition", on stage or when there is a need for expression.

 

 

 

What is the symbolism of this election and the magical materia's area of expertise?

 

 

 

The date is April 8, 2025, the time is 13:26 in Burgas, Bulgaria.

 

The Ascendant is in the sign of Leo, the Moon is at 28˚ Leo - in applying conjunction to Regulus at 0˚ of Virgo.

 

Regulus is of the nature of Mars and Jupiter and NOT BY ANY CHANCE but by divine intervention and adjustment and planning on my part (the electing astrologer), the series was created on the planetary day of Mars, in the planetary hour of Jupiter.

 

The Moon does not make aspects to any of the malefics, it is ruled by an exalted Sun in Aries in the 9th house (also called The Joy of the Sun or "The House of God"). Bullseye.

 

The Moon is applying to a trine with the MC supporting the self and the public reputation of the self. The One and Their Life Work or Purpose. 

 

The chart gives a lot of royal energy - through the Moon and Regulus, through the trine by sign to the exalted Sun in the 9th house, through Jupiter in a day chart in the 11th house (this is the house of his rejoicing, called the "House of Good Luck").

 

If there were 7 requirements for an ideal talisman election chart, this one ticks all 7 boxes.

 

 

 

The Star and its qualities and characteristics

 

Regulus is the star called the Heart of the Lion - a star in the constellation Lion, obviously.

 

One of the four royal stars of Persia - guardian of the North.

 

 

In “De Quindecim Stellis” (a treatise/compilation of manuscripts on the Behenian Fixed stars translated by Christopher Warnock but attributed to an unknown Hermes) it is written:

 

"This star giveth honor and riches, and it causeth a man to be feared when it is on the ascendant or midheaven. And its virtue is greater when the Moon is with it and it is beheld by the fortunes. It is of the nature of Jupiter and Mars. Its virtue is to take away wrath and melancholy, and it maketh a man mild and granteth good favor: whatever might be done with it, this star ought to be on the ascendant or midheaven. ”

How to use "Regulus - Watcher of the North"? 

 

 

1. Incense

 

The herbal incense blend is used for burning on charcoal or sand, in a fireproof container or we can use it unburned, as it is from the jar, for sprinkling in a purse, on candles that we want to use in a ritual, and any other magical way.

 

Incense blends have a CLEANSING nature, or rather they act as a remover, lightener. This series is creating the purest form of success and exaltation.

 

NOT INTENDED FOR INTERNAL USE

 

Ingredients: calendula, mastic resin, wormwood.

 

Store in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight.

 

 

2. Paper talisman

 

It can be placed at home, at work or in a purse, kept in a pocket or in a car - wherever you think it will be most useful to release its powers.

 

 

3. Talismans (talismanic jewellery) 

 

They are obviously for wearing, but they can be placed on an altar, at home, at work. It is recommended that there is skin contact.

 

YOU CAN CHOOSE YOUR GEM from the ones that are available as well as the type of its “carrier”.

 

There are amethysts and garnets available in different sizes, shapes and faceted in different way, they can be placed in a ring, pendant, plate, with a pendant mount, etc. Of course, I will consult you on the most suitable shape for your talisman. The prices of each piece of jewellery vary due to the specifics of the selected type and shape, the different weight of the metal you want it to be made of, as well as the gem itself and its size.

When to use the materia?

 

I recommend the first use to be when the Moon is 29˚ degrees of tropical sign Leo and 0˚ Virgo, where the projection of the fixed star Regulus is located.

But, of course, you may feel the need and wear/use it whenever you decide.

 

 

 

How to start our connection with matter and Regulus?

 

I always recommend meditation with the materia/talisman as a first step that opens our “eyes” to the direction of working with it.

 

This is good to do when the Moon is conjunct Regulus (more on this in the paragraph above). But it is not mandatory. Another possible day is Sunday or Monday during day time. 

 

Creating a small altar with fabric/paper in the color of amethyst or garnet - from light to dark, but not bright, red or purple, a candle of a similar color, an image of the constellation, a bowl of saffron, gold jewellery or ornaments of “royal” origin.

 

You can burn frankincense or Regulus incense from this series for best results. 

 

From there, trust your own intuition and what you receive as information from the Universe and from the Star itself.

 

The image of the constellation is Leo, and the star itself is the Heart of the Lion, so such visualizations are useful or result from the connection with Regulus.
